KARACHI, Oct 22: The funeral prayers for a slain activist of the Ahl-i-Sunnat Wal Jamaat, Maulana Kamal-uddin, were held in a Gulshan-i-Iqbal area on Monday morning.

A number of ASWJ workers and supporters gathered at the Gulshan Chowrangi to attend the funeral prayers.

They raised slogans against the government for failing to provide security to the people.A heavy contingent of police and Rangers was present to avert any untoward incident.

Later, he was laid to rest in a local graveyard.

The victim had been gunned down in Gulshan-i-Iqbal Block 2 when he was walking home in Zia-ul-Haq Colony on Sunday night.—Staff Reporter
