NGO official kidnapped

KHAIRPUR, Sept 27: An NGO official was kidnapped from here on Thursday when he was going to Larkana from Sukkur on the National Highway.

Official Mohammad Hashim was travelling in his car with his driver. Ten armed men intercepted the car near the Shah Hussain bypass and kidnapped them.

Later, they released the driver and drove away the NGO official whose car was found abandoned within the jurisdiction of the Tando Musti police station.

Driver Mohammad Nawaz was found at a banana orchard near the bypass. His arms and legs were tied up.

Khairpur SSP Irfan Baloch told reporters that according to some information a car was following.—BoC
