“Though our Quaid, being the first head of the newly born state, worked well for a year according to his vision, later rulers left the way their founder had chosen to take. The Quaid knew well that the rulers after him wouldn’t follow the path he had envisaged that could give a sense of ownership, confidence and vision to the masses by developing the country as a real welfare state.

Jinnah knew well that Pakistan could develop fast because of its important geographical location. But our rulers didn’t take this seriously and have preferred living as slaves under the United States.

If they seriously want to rescue the country from the present critical challenges, they will have to ensure rule of law, maintain institutional coordination and restore the 1973 Constitution to its original form by removing unnecessary amendments made for vested interests. That will be the only way out to make the country a prosperous one as envisioned by our founder.”
