KARACHI: Quaid-e-Azam Stadium in Mirpur is set to undergo renovation to meet international cricket stadium standards in order to host national and international cricket matches, a local newspaper reported.

The renovation process, which is supported by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), includes laying down new pitches, electronic scoreboards and floodlights.

The PCB will also hold Twenty20 matches there after the renovation is complete which will include players from the Pakistan team.

The board is fully supporting the development of the stadium as chairman Zaka Ashraf wants to bring back international cricket to Pakistan soon.
