Between frames: Heroine

Published July 26, 2012

Madhur Bhandarkar, known for his controversial social dramas and famous for movies such as Chandni Bar, Page 3 and Fashion, now brings another woman-centric provocative film called Herione.

Kareena Kapoor is playing the lead character in this film which is about the glamour of Bollywood and an actress's journey towards stardom.

The trailer shocks and stuns many with is its bold scenes and fiery dialogues. Although the promo has its clichéd moments like any other 'masala movie' from Bollywood, one has to admit, Kareena really does look like a superstar who just might surprise the audience yet again with her acting skills and award-winning performances.

Heroine, which is the most awaited films of the year, will be released on September 21, 2012.–Eefa Khalid
