ISLAMABAD, June 25: The Senate Standing Committee on Cabinet Division and Capital Administration and Development on Monday expressed their concern over irregularities in the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and ordered its managers to streamline its affairs.

The meeting was presided over by Senator Kalsoom Parveen at the CDA headquarters which was attended by its members Kamil Ali Agha, Mohammad Yousaf and Saeeda Iqbal.

The meeting was primarily called to discuss the alleged allotment of 40 plots on fake documents in Sector F-11 and the policy of the CDA to requisition services of the officers on deputation.

The members expressed dissatisfaction over the affairs of CDA particularly the allotment of plots. They said since the matter was of great importance therefore required detailed deliberations.

Giving briefing to the committee about hiring of officers/ officials on deputation, the Capital Development Authority officials said there were 40 officers working on deputation in BS16 to 19, and those who had completed three years would be repatriated to their parent departments.

The committee advised the CDA to work according to the rules and regulation and avoid unnecessary appointments.

The committee also advised that the quota of recruitment of Balochistan province may be filled in accordance with the constitution.
