PESHAWAR, June 1: A three-day training workshop organised by Women Business Development Centre (WBDC) started here on Friday to build the basic skills of potential women entrepreneurs regarding recycling of papers and to search new sources of income.

More than 20 women entrepreneurs, including members of Youth Entrepreneurs Development Forum, took part in the training programme. The WBDC project manager Nabeela Farman formally inaugurated the workshop.

Fauzia Butt, assistant coordinator, Pakistan Institute for Environment Development Action Research, trained participants about basic techniques of recycling papers.

The participants appreciated the efforts of WBDC for arranging such a creative artwork training programme for them.

The participants were trained about making bowls, glass, plates, bags, gift boxes and other items through papers.

Earlier, Nabeela Farman, addressing the inaugural session, said that WBDC had designed a comprehensive programme for skill development of young female entrepreneurs on various arts and crafts. She maintained that efforts were being made to promote women entrepreneurship through platform of WBDC.
