KARACHI, May 16: Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the killing of four party workers in separate incidents in Karachi.
In a statement issued from the MQM international secretariat in London on Wednesday, Mr Hussain expressed his profound grief and sorrow over the killing of Khurshid Iqbal, a former union council nazim of Malir Town, Muhammad Azhar Khan, Kamran Ali and Syed Mehdi Raza by unknown terrorists.
He condemned the killings in strongest possible terms and sympathised with the bereaved families. He said he and all workers of the MQM shared their grief.
The MQM coordination committee has also strongly condemned the killings and termed such incidents the continuity of the conspiracies hatched to disturb peace in the city.
The coordination committee called upon the governor and the chief minister to take notice of the killings and order arrest of the culprits.
