KARACHI, April 14: Liaquat College of Medicine and Dentistry (LCMD) and Aga Khan University (AKU) will lock horns in the opening match of the 10th AKU Inter-University Football Tournament at 5.00pm at the AKU Football Ground here on Monday.

Earlier, Hamdard University (HU) will face Pakistan Naval Engineering College (PNEC) at 12.00pm, National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) will take on PAF Karachi Institute of Engineering and Technology (PAF-KIET) at 2.30pm and Jinnah Medical and Dental College (JMDC) play against Institute of Business Administration (IBA) at 4.00pm.

Sixteen teams, divided into four pools, are taking part in the event to be played on a league basis followed by quarters, semis and the final.

Pools: Pool ‘A’: AKU, NUST, LCMD and PAF-KIET.

Pool ‘B’: HU, Dawood College of Engineering & Technology (DCET), Iqra University (IU) and PNEC.

Pool ‘C’: Sindh Medical College (SMC), Jinnah Medical & Dental College (JMDC), Institute of Business Administration (IBA) and Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science & Technology (SZABIST).

Pool ‘D’: Baqai Medical University (BMU), Ziauddin University (ZU), Institute of Business Management (IoBM) and Mohammad Ali JinnahUniversity (MAJU).
