ISLAMABAD, July 13: The latest cafe to launch in Islamabad is Street 1 Cafe, which had its official launch in Islamabad on Tuesday.

Kohsar Market is known for the best coffee places in Islamabad, including Gloria Jeans and Mocca Coffee. Table Talk restaurant in the market defines fine dining. So when Kohsar Market has a new restaurant or a cafe opening, expectations are high. And Street 1 Cafe's launch lived up to expectations.

As super models dazzled the red carpet on Tuesday night at the newly launched cafe, people from all walks of life attended the event, including media representatives, businessmen and women, socialites and fashionistas.

Samreen Bhatty and Ahsan Bhatty, proud owners of the cafe, said their menu consists of a variety of different things. “It's not the typical café menu that other places offer. It has a little bit of everything,” said Samreen. Dawn

Ahsan told that they are aiming to introduce a quality one-stop restaurant-cafe. “Kohsar Market has a presence of two cafes and two restaurants but none of them provide everything under one roof. I felt a void in that area and I have tried to fill it by introducing Street 1 Cafe.”

He said the cafe has “quality continental food, coffees and desserts presented in a relaxed cozy comfortable lounge atmosphere. Comfort and food is our top priority.”

The elaborate menu consisted of fresh juices and smoothies to soups, appetisers, salads, steaks, pastas, seafood, chicken dishes, paninis and burgers. There's a separate dessert menu at Street 1 Cafe, which includes everything from bread puddings to cupcakes, cakes, mousse and the likes. Needless to say, they serve coffee, tea and ice blended frappe too.

Street 1 Cafe has a beautiful and appealing décor. It's perfectly lit and has yellow lights, giving an elegant look. Mirrors and hanging lamps enhance the beauty of the place, making it look rather classy.

The sofas are done in brown and beige to complement the lighting while tables are graced with candles and fresh flowers. Clearly, the ambience of Street 1 Cafe was impressive.

Tuesday night gave Islamabad's youngsters and those young at heart another great place to hang out. Kohsar Market was always special, Street 1 Cafe just made it even more special. — Hafsah Sarfraz
