ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has stressed the need of demonstrating unity and tolerance by all the political parties and leaders for the sake of national sovereignty and security.

“In view of the present situation, I would like to draw attention of all political parties and leaders to this fact that we need to demonstrate unity, confidence and tolerance for the sake of national sovereignty and security”, Gilani said in a message on the occasion of 'Provincial Autonomy Day' on Fridayt.

The PM termed the Provincial Autonomy Day as 'historic day', which he said will be chronicled in the national history in golden words.

“It is honour of the democratic government that it fulfilled all the requisites of the Constitution and restored its original character”, he added.

PM Gilani said through reconciliation and consultation, the present government got the 18th amendment approved which paved the way towards provincial autonomy.
