KARACHI, Nov 20: A five-year-old child was killed in an exchange of gunfire between two political groups near Old Sabzi Mandi on Saturday, police said.

They said activists of the Awami National Party and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement clashed with each other over the matter of hoisting party flags in Nishtar Basti near PIB Colony.

“They exchanged gunfire that claimed the life of a minor boy.

“The victim was later identified as Zeeshan, son of Muhammad Akram, a resident of the same area,” said an official at the PIB Colony police station.

No arrest was made in connection with the killing of the boy.
