PESHAWAR, March 10: The Federal government has approved the setting up of a regional passport office in Mardan. This was stated here on Friday by Deputy Director Regional Passport Office Peshawar, Mohammad Irfan Khan. He said that people from Mardan and Swadi districts had to come to Peshawar for getting passports. He said the establishment of passport office in Mardan would facilitate and solve the problem of the people of the area.

CONFERENCE: Meanwhile, a conference of officials of six regional passport offices across the province will be held on Sunday, to review and find a viable solution to problems confronting the general public in getting their passports.

Mr Khan, said that Director General Immigration and Passport Brigadier Mian Khalid Habib will be the chief guest on the occasion.

Director, deputy director and assistant director passport of the regional offices would participate in the conference.

The conference would issue on-the-spot orders to help resolve various problems, he added.—APP
