SWABI: A three-year-old girl was found dead in a nullah in Topi tehsil of the Swabi district here on Saturday, the police said.

When contacted, SHO Topi city police station Jawad Khan told Dawn that soon after knowing about the incident the police personnel reached the spot and collected the body.

He said that the body was shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Topi, for autopsy.

Another police official told this correspondent that there were signs of injuries on the face of the girl, but it was not clear as to how her death occurred. He said that the autopsy report would determine the cause of her death.
