ISLAMABAD: A man was murdered at his house in the rural area of the capital, police said on Monday.

The deceased was a proclaimed offender and wanted in connection with an attempted murder case. Four armed people entered the house of Sayim in Alipur and shot him.

The injured was shifted to hospital where he was pronounced dead. The police registered a murder case in response to a complaint lodged by Sayim’s mother.

The deceased had enmity with some people and last year had injured one of them.

A case was registered against him by Kural police and later he was declared a proclaimed offender.

In another incident, a man was shot and injured during a robbery in Darkala.

Two armed men entered the shop and asked its owner to hand them cash and valuables. When the shopkeeper put up resistance the robbers shot him and escaped. The injured was taken to hospital where he was stated to be out of danger.

Meanwhile, auto-thieves lifted a car from the parking area of a hotel at Chungi No 26.
