SAHIWAL: The Dera Rahim police arrested six people on Thursday for assaulting young boys and girls and keeping child pornography on a laptop in village 142/9-L. The police found several sexually explicit images involving children on the laptop. They were arrested in two cases, registered under sections 292, 292-A and 377 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

A few days back, a resident of the village alerted the police about the gang after his own son was assaulted by them. The gang would lure boys and girls, studying at a tuition centre, to a drawing room where they would shoot their porn footage. Sub-Inspector Muhammad Ashraf told Dawn the police first confirmed the presence of explicit material through their informers and later raided the place and arrested the six people, all of village 142/9-L.
