TAXILA: Federal Minis­ter for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan has said that supreme leader of the PML-N Nawaz Sharif has been granted permission to go abroad for medical treatment and after recovery he will have to face his cases.

Talking to journalists here on Tuesday, he said the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leadership was not in favour of granting relief to PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz and to allow her to leave Pakistan. She should face her cases by staying in the country.

The minister claimed the government would not remove Ms Nawaz’s name from the Exit Control List and would fully implement the court’s earlier order in her case.

“We are in no mood to provide any concession to Maryam Nawaz, who wants to go abroad,” Mr Khan said.

About the steps being taken by the government to improve the aviation sector, he said the government had introduced the Aviation Policy 2019 and the Civil Aviation Authority is focusing on providing facilities.
