QUETTA: The Students Educational Alliance of Balochistan University has expressed concern at attempts allegedly being made by top officials of the Balochistan University to cover up a video scandal of the university.

Speaking at a press conference, Pashtun Students Federation (Azad) leader Syed Zubair Shah demanded the government to take action against officials of the university, including its vice chancellor, over the video scandal that recently surfaced in the university.

“Instead of punishing and arresting those responsible for the scam, attempts are being made to cover up the video scandal case,” Mr Shah said, adding that culprits were being protected to continue harassment and blackmailing tactics against students, especially those female students who were demanding tough action against the high-ups responsible for the scam.

The alliance leader presented a charter of demands about the video scandal and other issues faced by the students of the university.

He said that students of the university would go on strike and stage a sit-in outside the university if their demands were not accepted.
