PAKISTAN Steel Mills has been suffering losses for the last several years and is now considered a white elephant, a burden on the economy. The government is neither privatising it nor is it providing enough financial assistance to stabilise it.
Its 25,000 workers are paid salaries after a gap of five months. The government doesn’t seem serious in resolving this issue. The authorities concerned should take action and resolve this matter as soon as possible.
