LAHORE: PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz says Imran Khan government used every tactic to stop the people from reaching the rally in Faisalabad on Sunday.

“Despite huge odds, the worst victimisation as arrests, crackdown, threats, road blocks, hindrances, cheap tactics as filling the grounds with water, ZERO publicity & coverage & most importantly, the time i.e. 3 am. This is simply unbelievable & without a parallel. People love MNS (Mian Nawaz Sharif),” Maryam said in a tweet on Monday.

PPP Senator Sherry Rehman said: “Huge rally in Faisalabad last night blocked on media. Why? Because @MaryamNSharif led it, and the opposition is only to be censored or vilified both at home and abroad. Such censorship and vendetta politics will only hurt Pakistan, and fostering fascism will end badly for all”.
