KARACHI: A woman committed suicide by hanging herself with a rope at her home in Mansehra Colony on Tuesday. The incident took place within the remit of the Sharafi Goth police station, an official said.

He said that 33-year-old Shamim ended her life due to some domestic issues.

The body was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities.

Teenage girl dies in hit-and-run

A teenage girl died and her young brother was wounded when the motorbike they were riding was hit by a fast-moving car in Landhi on Tuesday, police said.

They said 17-year-old Sania and her 25-year-old brother, Wasim, were returning home from a wedding ceremony on their motorbike when they met the deadly accident near Babar Kanta bus stop.

“They were hit by a fast-moving heavy vehicle,” said an official at the Landhi police station. He said the body of the girl was moved to the JPMC for legal formalities.

Over a dozen held

Pakistan Rangers, Sindh claimed to have arrested more than a dozen suspects wanted in different crimes ranging from street crimes, robberies and murder.
