PARACHINAR: Two children were killed and two others injured when the roof of a house collapsed during heavy rain in Parachinar city on Saturday.

The incident occurred in Taindo village. Locals rushed to the house soon after the incident and pulled out the bodies of two children from the debris. Two other children were rescued in injured condition.

The bodies and the injured were shifted to hospital.

Residents said the rain accompanied by hailstorm started lashing Parachinar and its surroundings late on Friday night, bringing down the mercury. The rain also damaged standing corps and orchards. Vehicular traffic was also disrupted as rainwater flooded the roads.
