SARGODHA: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) judge on Friday dismissed the pre-arrest bail plea of MNA Chaudhry Hamid Hameed, a union council chairman, the market committee chairman and seven other PML-N leaders allegedly involved in disrupting the 2018 general election.

The judge confirmed the bail petition of ex-MPA Abdul Razzaq Dhilon, ex-tehsil naib nazim Mirza Ilyas Baig, vice chairman Prince Abdul Khaliq and Sharif Dhoba.

The case was got registered by the personal servant of PTI candidate Dr Nadia Aziz from NA-90 against the PML-N leaders for creating hatred against the state institutions and hooliganism in front of court of returning officer in July 2018.

PAKISTAN DAY: The University of Sargodha (UoS) celebrated Pakistan Day on Friday with commitment to impart quality education that would enable the students to contribute to country’s development.

The students, staff, faculty and the administration renewed pledge to make the country a strong, progressive and prosperous state.

This year, Music Society in collaboration with the Web Development Cell of the university also launched a theme song ‘Khiyal Rakhna’.

The day was celebrated with various in-house activities like art exhibition, speeches on the significance of the day, dressing up in green and white traditional outfits, singing national songs, face painting, quizzes, and tableau.

The events were jointly organised by the Riaz Shad Co-curricular Forum and the Institute of Art and Design.
