KP govt to create 7,000 posts in tribal districts

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government will create 7,000 posts for different departments in seven tribal districts, and has asked the federal government for provision of resources in this regard.

This was announced at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mahmood Khan here on Tuesday, which discussed the overall mainstreaming of the merged districts, according to a statement.

The chief minister informed the meeting that Prime Minister Imran Khan had assured him that the provincial government would get its due share under the AGN Qazi formula.

He said the province would get its dues and transfers of resources for the merged areas soon and the KP government would be backed by the centre in accomplishing the tasks post Fata-KP merger.

He said the prime minister had assured him of expeditious transfers of the provincial dues.

The meeting was informed the three per cent share of the erstwhile Fata was an additional arrangement for the rapid mainstreaming of the area.
