PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has initiated an investigation against owners of an illegal housing scheme for depriving people of their hard-earned money.

According to a statement issued here on Tuesday, M/S Canal View, Nasir Bagh Peshawar, was an illegal housing scheme which was operating without obtaining any NOC from the Peshawar Development Authority.

It was stated that the record of the advertising agency showed that plots had been sold to public despite issuance of notices from PDA to stop the illegal sale and purchase.

The accused persons had lured general public through advertisements in print and electronic media to invest in the ‘illegal’ housing scheme on the promise to allot them plots on their investment.
