A move in the right direction

A very good omen for our beleaguered tourism industry feverishly looking for new blood. The new govt. taking cur from this very favorable decision should make efforts to boost this neglected industry which at minimamal cost will provide much needed FE, jobs to youth in far flung areas as helpers/guides in tourism related activities, generate income for local small businesses such as motels/inns/hotels, eateries/restaurants, local handicraft/souvenirs & many others. Being a co-author of Tourism Plan for Pakistan as a UNDP consultant in year 2000, I; remain spellbound by the soul warming beauty of our northern areas & its humble, friendly and receptive people. The PTI which is aiming at a very ambitious social uplift program will see miracles happening, if it revives the confidence of foreign visitors looking for adventure and natural beauty, by providing security, safe travel, affordable boarding and lodging facilities, & other related to this important sector. Let us hope for the best
