KARACHI: Omega Club stunned Clifton Crossover club 46- 40 in the quarter-final to reach the semifinals of the match here on the Independence Day basketball tournament being held at the Arambagh courts on Friday.

Kenz Jones was the architect of Omega club win, scoring 18 points in great style. He was well supported by Ali Abbas (9 points) and Major Imran (8 points).

For the losing side, Abdul Basit played well to score ten points while Sameer (9 points) and Omair Ahmed (8 points) also supported him.

In another thrilling match off the day, Usman Club beat Karachi Youth Club 38-26. Usman Khwaja, Hamza Khwaja and Hamza Asif all scored ten points each for the winning side.

For the runner-up, Syed Saeed scored 8 points while Hussain Ali (7 points) and Wasim Khan (6 points) also played well.

The ttournaament has been organsed by Karachi Basketball Association (KBBA).
