MURREE: Two men were injured after they were attacked by a leopard on Kuldanna-Mohrra Road near Khani Taak village.

The men were proceeding towards their village from Kuldanna Bazaar after sunset and were attacked by a leopard near the Khanni Taak village. They were rescued by passersby who heard them shouting.

The leopard fled into the forest and the victims were shifted to the Murree Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.

The attack caused panic amongst locals, many of whom, including children, pass through the forest every day.

Locals also protested against officials from the wildlife department who they believed had failed to keep locals safe from wild animals. They appealed to high-ups in the department to take notice of the incident and protect the lives and animals of the local population.
