RAWALPINDI: A man was stabbed to death while his nephew was injured critically in a clash over water in Ratta Amral area on Friday night, police said.

The investigating officer, SI Mohammad Riaz, told Dawn that Nasir Khan and his nephew, Arsalan Khan, 17, had a brawl with one of their neighbours over getting water from a tap in the street.

He said during the quarrel, Nasir Khan was stabbed in the chest while his nephew was also attacked when he intervened.

Police said Nasir Khan died on the spot while Arsalan was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital.

Police said raids were underway to arrest the murder suspects.
