MANSEHRA: A young boy was killed when a mud house of a local prayer leader collapsed during a thunderstorm in Baffa area on Friday night.

The locals retrieved the body of the boy, Umer Mehboob, from the debris.

According to witnesses, all the other members of the family of Maulana Mehboob remained unharmed as they were not present in the house when the incident occurred. Household goods were also destroyed in the incident.

Shafqat Javed, a local, told reporters that the family was poor and was living in a mud house, which had also been collapsed.

“We appeal to the provincial and federal governments to extend financial assistance to the affected family,” he said.
