LAHORE: Four matches were decided on the opening day of the 28th National Handball Championship which kicked off at the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad on Monday.

Eight teams are participating in the event who have been divided into two groups.

Army, Police, HEC and KPK have been drawn in Group ‘A’ while Group ‘B’ features Wapda, Punjab, Railways and Balochistan.

Results of first day matches:

Railways bt. Punjab 27-24; HEC bt. Police 28-26; Wapda bt. Balochistan 52-9; Army bt. KPK 23-4.

Tuesday’s schedule:

Army vs Police; Wapda vs Punjab; HEC vs KPK and Railway vs Balochistan.
