LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) central Punjab president Abdul Aleem Khan on Saturday constituted 10 committees for their show at Minar-i-Pakistan on April 29.The committees, consisting of 10 members each, have been constituted for mobilisation, monitoring, venue preparation, administration, media management, security, finance, transport, advertisement and publicity, and social media.

The committees are convened by Senator Chaudhry Sarwar, Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed, Ejaz Chaudhry, Shafqat Mahmood, Faisal Javed Khan, Rizwan Yousaf, Dr Sohail Zafar Cheema, Chaudhry Shoukat Ali Bhatti, Chaudhry Waseem Ramey and Dr Arsalan Khalid.Also, PTI MPA Shoaib Siddiqui visited Minar-i-Pakistan and viewed preparation for the stage, enclosures and security arrangements.

He said the party chief would also visit Data Darbar on April 24, where he would be welcomed by shrine’s caretaker Mian Hamid. He said Mr Hamid would also announce joining the PTI on the occasion.

He said some 50,000 chairs would be arranged at the public meeting venue, while 10 LCDs be installed for the benefit of participants.

He said the Punjab government was using uncalled for tactics by not granting permission to hold the public meeting at Minar-e-Pakistan ground. He asserted that the PTI would hold the mass public meeting at the declared venue.
