MANSEHRA: Locals and family members of a schoolboy hacked to death allegedly over assaulting a minor girl came onto the Karakoram Highway on Saturday night and blocked it to vehicular traffic, demanding arrest of the suspects involved in the brutal killing.

The protesters placed the body on the road for over an hour. The family members of the victim demanded arrest of all the suspects nominated in the FIR lodged with Pulrah police.

The protesters dispersed after tehsil nazim Khurram Khan Swati and ASP Arif Javed assured them of justice.

DPO Shahzad Naeed Bukhari told reporters that two main accused in gruesome killing of the boy had been arrested and rest would soon be behind the bars.

“We have arrested two brothers, Khawaj Mohammad and Mohammad Miskeen,” said Mr Bukhari.

The schoolboy was kidnapped when he was collecting firewood along with his mother, and later was hacked to death which sparked protest on Friday.
