LAHORE: For the first time the National Accountability Bureau is holding an open court at its Thokar Niaz Beg office here on Thursday (tomorrow).

“On the direction of NAB Chairman retired Justice Javed Iqbal hearing of public complaints will be held on Thursday by Lahore Director General Shahzad Saleem,” a spokesman said here on Tuesday.

He said on last Thursday of every month the open court would be held and immediate directives would be issued after listening complaints from the people.

Mr Saleem said he had ensured that all the investigations/actions authorised over the complaints received during open hearing would be transparent and up to the mark. The culprits involved would also be punished under the NAB law.

“The open court will be held on Thursday between 2pm and 4pm and all the complainants are advised to write their complaints on white blank paper, attached with the supporting documents and available proofs along with photocopy of their Computerised National Identity Cards,” the spokesman said.
