LAHORE: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has scheduled a month-long Iftar programme to mobilise party activists in the provincial metropolis.

Newly-appointed Lahore chapter president Azizur Rehman Chan issued the Iftar schedule saying the party will also observe June as the month of late Benazir Bhutto’s birth anniversary.

The Iftar on the first of Ramazan was given by Chan himself and a cake was also cut to mark the birth anniversary.

One leader from each provincial assembly constituency will arrange Iftar for workers on his/her specified turn besides arranging the birthday ceremony.

Under the schedule, Aitzaz Ahsan will give Iftar on 14th and Naveed Chaudhry on 24th of Ramazan.
