Several suspected militants were reportedly killed in air strikes in the Rajgal valley area of Khyber Agency, the military’s media wing said on Wednesday.

Inter-Services Public Relations said the suspected militants were trying to enter Khyber Agency where they were spotted and engaged, DawnNews reported.

“Several suspects were killed while many others were injured,” claimed ISPR, adding that the injured suspects managed to escape towards the Nangarhar province of Afghanistan.

The report could not be independently verified.

Two banned militant organisations, Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan and Lashkar-i-Islam, had reportedly established their hideouts and training camps in Rajgal and adjoining mountainous regions bordering Afghanistan after they were driven out from Bara.
