CHAKWAL: A woman was strangled by her husband over ‘honour’ while a local PTI leader died from the bullet of his own pistol which went off accidentally, police sources said on Saturday.

In Nai Abadi near Chak Norang village at Chakwal-Mandra Road a man allegedly strangled his wife to death as he suspected that she had illicit relations with another man. The accused was arrested by the police.

In his statement to the police, the accused said that he saw his wife with her paramour. Police have registered a case against the accused.

In the second incident near Wasnal village at Chakwal-Sargodha Road, Malik Muzamal Awan, former district president of PTI’s Khushab chapter died after being hit by a bullet of his own pistol which went off accidentally.

Malik Muzamal, who was a resident of Padhrar village in Khushab district, came to Kallar Kahar area for hunting along with his servants.
