QUETTA: Levies arrested 16 members of the entourage of the Emir of Qatar for breaking the barrier of a checkpoint in the Galngoor area of Noshki district on Wednesday.
According to official sources, an advance party of Qatar’s ruler was going to Mashkeel for making arrangements of hunting the houbara bustard when it ignored Levies personnel’s signal to stop at their post for checking and tried to escape by breaking the barrier. The security personnel chased them and detained 16 people travelling in four vehicles.
“The arrested members of the Emir of Qatar’s staff, include three Bangladeshi nationals and 13 Pakistanis,” an official of the district administration said, adding that the four vehicles had been taken into custody.
The ruler of Qatar is expected to arrive in the area for hunting in a few days.

Don't play with fire. Qatar prince is helping PM Nawaz and levies arrest 16 members of Qatar prince entourage. Levies must be Pakistanis I very strongly believe hence they should have allowed the advance party to gi ahead whatever they wanted and instead they arrested them hence PM may be annoyedwith levies and not pleased. Enough of Shareef family and Thani relationship already, this is conflict of interest as shareefs have accepted they have been business partners with Qataris. Supreme court should take notice of the businesses and activities of Thani family in Pakistan. if you allow everyone to treat law this way, law will have no meaning at all.

In India there were cases where Gulf citizens has committed crimes against Indians like rape and torture etc., and walked away with it. A free hand is given to Qatari due to Nawaz personal relationships with them. Most of us don't know that Qatar does not give visas to Pakistani skilled and Un skilled labors to work in their country on the other hand they give visas freely to India and other countries like Bangladesh and Philippine etc. Nawaz Sharif offers national assets to his Qatari friends for his personal gains, why not he NS manage to get an open door policy for Pakistani labor to work in Qatar?

The Levies personnel may face the music for they have hurt feelings of a Qatari royal family. Hunting is illegal only for Pakistanis and there is no law for Arab tycoons. Secondly Qatari shekhs support PML N in the subjudiced Panamagate scam by giving evidence in the apex court to prove Sharif's innocence.

what a door mat of a country we have become in last 30 years. there are court orders since 30 years against hunting this bird. in 1992 WWF Pakistan got a hunting ban from High Court for a Kuwaiti delegation and the entire delegation with their land cruisers and S class mercedeses went to the WWF office in Lahore to appease its CEO. But he stood his ground.
