GHALANAI: Following public complaints, Mohmand Agency political agent Mahmood Aslam Wazir inspected the agency headquarters hospital, Ghalanai, the other day.

He asked medical superintendent of the hospital, Dr Shad Mohammad, to conduct inquiries against those doctors and paramedics who had been absent and drawing their salaries. He said that all problems of the hospital would be resolved.

Mr Wazir asked the staff to provide proper health services to the local community. He said that he would review the hospital attendance and cleanliness condition after every 10 days. He checked the official record and directed the hospital administration to ensure attendance of doctors and paramedics.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Red Crescent, Mohmand Agency, distributed non-food items among 100 vulnerable internally displaced persons and 40 kits, including sewing machines, among widows of war-affected families in the agency’s border areas.

In this regard, a function was arranged at Bahi Daag here the other day. Baizai APA Abdullah Shah, Lt Col Imtiaz Ali and PRC representatives and volunteers were present on the occasion.

Fata PRC representative Tahir Akbar Mohmand said that they had distributed 40 sewing machines among widows. He said that the widows package included a sewing machine, wooden frame for embroidery, pedestal fan, nail cutter, wool for knitting, painting brush, carpet, stove and blanket.
