ABBOTTABAD: Academia can play a major role in updating the business community on advancements in the field of management and marketing and modifying and restructuring their business plans according to the changing trends.

Speakers and researchers said this during a two-day international conference at the Abbottabad University of Science and Technology, which ended the other day. The conference on ‘management and entrepreneurship’ was organised by the Management Science Department of AUST. It was attended by about 50 researchers and scholars.

Total eight sessions were held where prominent speakers presented their research papers. Prof Imran bin Mohammad Rassi from Malaysia and Prof Attaullah Shah from City University presented their research papers. Prof Iftikhar Ahmed in his address said that due to diversification of teaching methodology, the management and marketing were treated as science subjects.
