KOHAT: The district police and Sarhad Rural Support Programme arranged a five-day workshop here at the police assistant lines to provide training to the members of dispute resolutions councils (DRCs) for solving property disputes in their respective areas.

An official statement issued here on Thursday said that the permanent members of the DRCs were briefed about human rights, legal system and limits of their authority in solving complicated property disputes.

They were educated on how to reach the trouble spot and then call both the parties to resolve the dispute according to their wishes.

They urged Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and local police authorities to provide them protection.
