GUJRAT: PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat Husain says his autobiography ‘Such to Ye Hai” (Truth it That) will hit the market soon.

The seasoned politician, who has been in and out of power corridor for last four decades, says the book will have revealing facts and will clarify several misconceptions, created by the book of his successor, former prime minister Shaukat Aziz. He, however, refused to divulged more details about the book.

Mr Husain, while talking to reporters at the office of district Jamaat-i-Islami emir Dr Tariq Saleem on Wednesday, said the opposition could not be united as most of the leaders wanted to become prime minister. His party had, however, understanding with the JI to work on issue to issue basis.

He said it was his party’s desire to forge an electoral alliance with the JI in the future general elections, particularly in Punjab.

He said that his party had forged an alliance with the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf in Gujrat district council polls.

He said that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari could never become a substitute to his grandfather, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, through making hefty claims. He also called government’s decision to attend the Heart of Asia Conference in India a wrong step which had only earned an insult to Pakistan. The Indian government did not even let the Pakistani delegation stay overnight in India.

He advised the government to appoint a foreign minister to handle such issues.

The PML-Q chief has been in the hometown for the last four days in connection with the election campaign of his sister Begum Sameera Elahi who is in the run for the slot of Gujrat district council chairperson as a joint candidate of the PML-Q and the PTI.
