KARACHI: The Pakistan Maritime Security Agency detained 43 Indian fishermen for violation of Pakistani territorial waters on Sunday, officials said.

Docks SHO Amin Marri told Dawn that the Indian fishermen were fishing in territorial limits of Pakistan.

Later on, they were handed over to the police for further legal action.

The police registered a case against them under the Foreigners’ Act and the fisheries Act. They would likely to be presented before the court concerned on Monday.

Edhi Foundation provided two times meal to 43 Indian fishermen at the Docks police station, said the charity spokesperson.
