My mother, my heaven

There are many people in the world whom I love but my deepest love is only for my mother. She is the most precious person in my life.

She has a personality like no other. She loves, cares, and is always considerate, and if we do something wrong, she punishes us in her own way, like cutting down our pocket money so that we never do the same thing again.

Mothers are the most beautiful people on earth, we should love and respect them always.

Girls are real heroes

This is with reference to the story “Everyone can be a hero” by Ushna Siddiqui (YW, September 15).

It is true that some people have the mindset that girls are not brave as compared to boys, but the reality is that girls are also heroes and can perform many tasks better than boys. In many organisations, girls are seen to be more active than boys. Mrs Bilqees Eidhi is a real life hero who has contributed a lot for society.

This mindset should be eliminated from our society so that our new generation acts in a civilised way and considers girls equally.

Going extreme

This is with reference to the cover article “Going extreme” by Fida Hussain (YW, October 15). I really liked the information provided in the article regarding various sports that are more than just sports and come under the extreme/adventure category.

It is unbelievable to know that people go for volcano surfing or street luging. In fact, all the sports explained in the article were too dangerous, but the article was very interesting to read.

Achieving your dreams!

This is with reference to the cover article “Achieving your dreams” by Arif Ifrikhar (YW, October 8). It was a wonderful article which inspired and motivated me. I request the YW team and its writers to keep publishing articles like this as they inspire and give motivation to shape our lives in a better way.

The weekly weird

This is with reference to the section “The weekly weird”. I love this section very much as it is always full of wonderful news. Every week we read something unusual happening around the world.

I would request the YW team to always continue the section and provide us with more weird and interesting news.
