Pakistan’s physically disabled cricket team overpowered their counterparts from England in the final of ICC Academy PD T-20 Tournament 2016 by three wickets on Monday at Dubai Sports City Stadium.

The defending champions England batted first in the match and put on board 137-5 in allotted twenty overs.

Jamie Goodwin top scored for the side with 40 runs. Nihar Alam took two wickets.

In response, Pakistan reached the victory total in 19.2 overs with three wickets in hand.

Hasnain Alam batted well for the side scoring 39 runs while skipper Jahanzeb Tiwana contributed important 29 runs.

Dan Reynaldo grabbed two wickets.

Last year England had won the championship beating Pakistan in the final in Bangladesh.

The tournament was originally scheduled to be played between five countries but India and Afghanistan had withdrawn due to financial issues.
