Army chief Gen Raheel satisfied with operational preparedness of troops along LoC

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Sunday expressed satisfaction over the operational preparedness of troops deployed along the Line of Control (LoC) in a visit to the area, said an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement.

This is Gen Raheel's second visit to the LoC within a week.

"General Raheel Sharif visited frontlines troops deployed along the LoC in Haji Pir Sector," ISPR said."The COAS showed his complete satisfaction over the high state of morale, operational preparedness and vigil being maintained by troops along the LOC."

The army chief was given a detailed briefing by the local formation commander on operational preparedness of units and formations.

Upon arrival, Gen Raheel was received by the Corps Commander, Lieutenant General Malik Zafar Iqbal, the statement said.
