Politics & food wastage

Published September 26, 2016

SUPPORTERS of a political party preparing to face rival marchers in Raiwind are collecting tomatoes and eggs to be thrown at them.

My question is: what kind of a person wastes food? There are millions today who are undernourished and here we are wasting a high source of protein just to tackle political rivals.

Would it not make them better human beings, if, instead, they fed the needy and destitute with this food? This will earn them the much needed respect from the people.

Dear politicians, just because you have it in abundance does not mean you waste and throw food around. Please use it for a much greater and noble cause.
