HYDERABAD: The first general body meeting of the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences Teachers Association (LUMHS-TA) held here on Thursday decided to boycott their duties if the secretary of the Sindh Universities and Boards did not withdraw the appointment order of the university’s registrar.

The man being appointed as registrar is a retired person facing corruption charges and inquiries, according to Prof Dr Suhail Almani, the president of the association who chaired the meeting. The meeting was also attended by office-bearers of the Federation of All Pakistan Universities Academic Staff Association (Fapuasa)’s Sindh chapter.
