THATTA: Two persons were killed and four others injured when the bus they were travelling in hit a barrier at the exit point of the Thatta-Sujawal bridge over Indus River on Sunday.

Witnesses and police said that the victims were sitting on the rooftop of the bus and fell off the vehicle when it met with the accident.

The victims were members of a picnic party and were on their way to Thatta from Larkana. Other members of the party said that they had already visited Mithi and intended to proceed to Thatta for a sight-seeing trip before returning to Larkana.

They said the bus hit the barrier near Pathan Colony all of a sudden.

One of the deceased victims was identified as Ali Haider Magsi, a resident of Jhal Magsi, but the other was yet to be identified.

Two of the injured victims were identified as Hajan Mallah and Madni Mallah while two others could not be identified immediately as they were rushed to a Karachi hospital due to their serious condition.
