KARACHI: Omar CC beat UBL by nine wickets in the first semi-final of Brighto Paints 5th Corporate T-20 Cup 2016 at DHA Sports Stadium Phase VIII, Moin Khan Academy, on Thursday.

Batting first, UBL scored 123-8 in the allotted 20 overs. Sohaib Maqsood (40) was the top scorer. Adnan Baig (23) and Naveed Sarwar (18) were the other notable scorers.

For Omar CC, Saad Nasim bagged 2-14 and Umar Gul 2-21.

In reply, Omar CC openers made short-work of the target with some aggressive batting to reach 124 for 1 in 15.1 Overs.

Nomar Anwar (91) was on fire with the bat, belting six sixes and nine boundaries in his exhilarating knock which came off just 54 balls. Khurram Manzoor (23) also played superbly.

Noman of Omar CC was named man-of-the-match and also received a motorcycle from former chief selector Salahuddin Sallu who was the chief guest on the occasion.
